The three designers shortlisted for the design of a new plinth for the Jesse effigy when it is placed below the new Jesse window, and a new Altar for the Lewis Chapel have been announced today; the 5th Anniversary for the death of Dean Jeremy Winston in whose memory the project is being undertaken.
- Luke Hughes of Drury Lane, Covent Garden designed furniture for Westminster Abbey for the Cambridge’s Wedding and for the Papal visit.
- Joachim Tantau graduated with distinction from the Princes’ School of Traditional Art and is based in Germany.
- Sebastian Wakefield is based in Yorkshire and has many years experience in the field.
Fr Jeremy’s Successor as Vicar, Canon Mark Soady welcomed the news,
“WE have a very strong field of designers so I am sure we will come up with a ‘cracking design’ that will be complementary to both the Jesse effigy and the window. I look forward to seeing this project completed by next Summer”.
