Rise at dawn to attend Mass at St Peter’s (at the Altar of Leo the Great) said by Fr Thomas OSB. At St Mary’s Major we saw the relic of the Manger.Here Our Lady depicted as being crowned Queen of Heaven. The Book of Kings speaks of Solomon crowning his mother,Bersheba as Queen-as practised practise in ancient Israel , so it was not strange that the BVM should be so honoured.
For Lunch we went to some Nuns who cook very good cuisine at market prices and use the money to feed the poor in the third world. So for once I could eat well, and not feel guilty.
