To mark the Canal’s 200th anniversary tower bells along its line of route – including St Mary’s Priory- will ring out on Friday February 10th.
Fr Mark Soady, Vicar, said ” I remember navigating the canal by narrow boat some 15 years ago – it was the most tranquil week of my life , as we moved south from Brecon through ever so slightly different scenery until we hit the industrial outskirts of Pontypool”.
The Bells are rung at the Priory on Sunday morning and for all principle services. The Bell ringers practice on a Monday evening.
